Pie Preparations for Thanksgivingr, who runs

Mary working the rolling pin. Mary works in waste and makes sure we are all diligent with our trash sorting. Since it is quite expensive to fly anything in and out of South Pole, we need to be as efficient as possible on anything we consume.

Weeks and Shelly making PAI! Weeks is our winterover site manager. He's basically the mayor of South Pole when the last plane departs. Shelly heads the Research Assistants.

Kel, who's one of our two NOAA winterovers pours some pumpkin pies with Shelly.

Computers and DOMs

Each one of these cables are connected to 4 Digital Optical Modules in the ice. There are 60 of these DOMs connected to this computer and there are 86 of these computers in our cluster. Basically out of this computer is a string 2 kms long with 60 DOMs spaced out a kilometer and buried under the ice. Through these 86 computers on the surface we control the DOMs deep in the ice as well as collect the raw neutrino hits data that we are looking for.

Sliding

Couple of folks sliding while waiting around for the Herc.
