Took the Airbus A319-LR Down
The NSF charted an Airbus A319-LR for the flight down to McMurdo. It was way more kush than the C-17 since we had windows and most of us got to sit in business class for the 5 hour flight. Even the veterans were excited because they go to snap pictures out the windows for the first time. The C-17 had one little window that everyone took turns to look out of. For best take off performance we all had to sit in the back of the plane. The pilots also left the door open the whole flight and I even went up later on to take pictures in the cockpit. I'll post some of those pics in later posts.
